You can apply to the Faculty at any time by completing a Member, Fellow or Associate application form. Associate applications are assessed on an ongoing basis and you will be notified about your application within a month of submission.
If you would like to apply to become a Member or Fellow:
- You can send a Member/Fellow application at anytime
- Your application will be assessed during an assessment period, of which there are two per year
- In the meantime, you will be able to join the Faculty as an Associate until the next assessment is completed. Please note, you do not need to submit a separate Associate and Member/Fellow application.

Please note, the information you provide in your application will be used to assess your suitability for membership of the FCI. As such, please include as much information as possible to reflect your professional experience and career to date. The assessment panel includes current FCI Members who will review your application, therefore please include as much detail as possible in order to help them in making a decision.

The Faculty of Clinical Informatics (FCI) is working to develop the profession of clinical informatics, building on the Core Competency Framework, and working as part of the Federation of Informatics Professionals (FedIP) to ensure an inclusive and comprehensive approach.
