The FCI is creating a baseline of the clinical informatics workforce in the UK

The Faculty of Clinical Informatics (FCI) is asking our Members for help with an important issue – creating a baseline of the clinical informatics workforce.

At present, there is little data available on the clinical informatics workforce across the UK. Although there are government commitments to increase the workforce, there is no baseline.

As the membership body for health and care professionals working in digital health and informatics, the FCI is seeking to establish a UK-wide baseline of the clinical informatics workforce, to enable progress to be monitored.

To help us better understand the makeup of the clinical informatics workforce in the UK, we’re asking our members to complete a short survey.

We would also be grateful if our Members could share this survey with their networks across the UK – our aim is complete national coverage!

We will use this information to advocate for and drive the further development of these roles and the profession.

The outcome of the survey will also be published, in an anonymised form, so that you can use it to benchmark your own organisation.

The survey deadline has been extended to Tuesday 3 January.
